Meredith Setser is a printmaker and textile artist employed as an associate professor of printmaking at the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis. She studied at both Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and IUPUI for her undergraduate studies, earning a BFA in 1997. She attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she completed her MFA degree in 2004. Meredith has taught printmaking courses as an instructor at both the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Milwaukee School of Art and Design.
Exhibitions include the Qijiang International Print Exhibition in South West China, Pacific States Biennial North American Print Exhibition at Hilo, Hawaii, and a solo exhibition entitled Agricultural Aesthetics at the Anne Wright Wilson Gallery in Georgetown, KY. She was also named a 2011 Efroymson Contemporary Arts Fellowship which she used to travel to Argentina to take part in an artist residency program at Proyecto ACE. Other artist residencies include Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Deere Isle, Maine, and Open Studio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She most recently received a Christel DeHaan Artist of Distinction grant from the Indy Arts Council of Indianapolis.
