Jeff Klinker is an impressionist painter who, since 1998, has been working almost exclusively "en plein air." His signature style is bold, painterly, and richly layered, which pays homage to color, texture, and light. Working in oils, his paintings invite the viewer in for a close look at his complex juxtapositions of color.

The artist's rural heritage, reverence for nature, and interest in historic preservation inform his work. In 1998, Klinker participated in the Great Outdoor Art Contest at the T.C. Steele State Historic Site - his formal introduction to painting en plein air. The experience unleashed new energy in his work, freeing his brush and palette.

His subsequent involvement with plein-air organizations has afforded him numerous opportunities and awards. His paintings appear in several art books and reside in private and corporate collections, museums, and other public spaces throughout the Hoosier State.
